{"cve":"CVE-2026-107756","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-14T08:17:04.870","modified":"2026-10-15T16:17:35.130","status":"Deferred","description":"The Meow Lightbox plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'display_name + comment' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.6.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability is only exploitable when the plugin's Output Buffering option is enabled (disabled by default), and requires the attacker to have at least one previously approved comment on the site so that subsequent comments are auto-approved by WordPress core.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/meow-lightbox/tags/5.6.2/classes/core.php#L1087","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/meow-lightbox/tags/5.6.2/classes/core.php#L1115","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/meow-lightbox/tags/5.6.2/classes/core.php#L1277","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/meow-lightbox/tags/5.6.2/classes/core.php#L57","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/meow-lightbox/tags/5.6.2/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L1531"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:59:28.494260111+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-107756","score":0.00306,"percentile":0.23147,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
