{"cve":"CVE-2026-107719","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-08T22:17:27.913","modified":"2026-10-09T16:17:23.457","status":"Deferred","description":"fast-jwt provides fast JSON Web Token (JWT) implementation. Prior to 6.3.4, the fast-jwt createVerifier cache can continue accepting a previously valid, signed JWT after its exp time when caching is enabled and the token has exp but no iat. In src/verifier.js, cacheSet derives the exp cache deadline only when iat is present, so the cache falls back to cacheTTL, and a later cache hit returns the saved payload before verifyToken rechecks expiration. An attacker who can replay the same cached bearer token can extend access until the cache entry expires, but cannot forge a token through this issue. This issue is fixed in version 6.3.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.2},"cwes":["CWE-613"],"references":["https://github.com/nearform/fast-jwt/commit/fc1ddbbe5ce38066ba2cea0b0ce0233932757167","https://github.com/nearform/fast-jwt/releases/tag/v6.3.4","https://github.com/nearform/fast-jwt/security/advisories/GHSA-x937-hj6v-793p","https://github.com/nearform/fast-jwt/security/advisories/GHSA-x937-hj6v-793p"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:01.639778232+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-107719","score":0.00272,"percentile":0.19339,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-x937-hj6v-793p","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-x937-hj6v-793p","summary":"fast-jwt: Verifier cache accepts expired JWTs without iat.","modified":"2026-10-08T22:30:41.090413721Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"fast-jwt","purl":"pkg:npm/fast-jwt","ranges":["<6.3.4"],"fixed":["6.3.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
