Prior to 5.35.0, ConnectionFactoryConfigurator.load() includes the raw uri value in wrapped exceptions when AMQP URI parsing fails. Because the URI may contain a plaintext username and password, startup logs, application performance monitoring systems, CI logs, and copied stack traces can disclose broker credentials to users who should not have access to them. This issue is fixed in version 5.35.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":5.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-209"],"references":["https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-java-client/commit/daca1875cdb8b8c0acce78f71103b21a05478446","https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-java-client/pull/2052","https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-java-client/releases/tag/v5.35.0","https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-java-client/security/advisories/GHSA-h6w7-qmcm-q6xr"],"products":["vmware:rabbitmq_java_client"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-106123","score":0.00239,"percentile":0.1484,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h6w7-qmcm-q6xr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h6w7-qmcm-q6xr","summary":"RabbitMQ Java client: plaintext broker credentials leaked in exception message from ConnectionFactoryConfigurator.load()","modified":"2026-10-19T19:45:04.498976139Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"com.rabbitmq:amqp-client","purl":"pkg:maven/com.rabbitmq/amqp-client","ranges":["<5.35.0"],"fixed":["5.35.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
