{"cve":"CVE-2026-105758","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-05T23:17:02.610","modified":"2026-10-08T03:16:35.407","status":"Analyzed","description":"vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. From 0.24.0 until 0.30.0, the Qwen2VLVideoBackend and Qwen3VLVideoBackend classes accept request-level values for the media_io_kwargs.video.max_frames and media_io_kwargs.video.fps fields without enforcing server-side ceilings. An unauthenticated caller can submit these values to the /tokenize endpoint, causing the sampler to decode every frame selected from attacker-controlled video input, consume disproportionate frontend memory, and potentially terminate the API process before scheduling or admission control. The Rust frontend is not affected because it rejects the media_io_kwargs field. This issue is fixed in version 0.30.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/vllm-project/vllm/commit/ea723c81c3ea26425cb69503a5d5e90822a04a45","https://github.com/vllm-project/vllm/pull/56729","https://github.com/vllm-project/vllm/releases/tag/v0.30.0","https://github.com/vllm-project/vllm/security/advisories/GHSA-x6mc-67gf-chw4"],"products":["vllm:vllm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:57:46.668721662+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-105758","score":0.00303,"percentile":0.22856,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-x6mc-67gf-chw4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-x6mc-67gf-chw4","summary":"vLLM: Qwen2-VL / Qwen3-VL video samplers bound on request-controlled max_frames, which the num_frames ceiling does not reach","modified":"2026-10-15T14:55:52.413199549Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"vllm","purl":"pkg:pypi/vllm","ranges":[">=0.24.0 <0.30.0"],"fixed":["0.30.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4310","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4310","summary":"vLLM: Qwen2-VL / Qwen3-VL video samplers bound on request-controlled max_frames, which the num_frames ceiling does not reach","modified":"2026-10-15T14:45:14.128616170Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"vllm","purl":"pkg:pypi/vllm","ranges":[">=0.24.0 <0.30.0"],"fixed":["0.30.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
