{"cve":"CVE-2026-105742","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-05T22:16:56.867","modified":"2026-10-07T19:52:37.513","status":"Analyzed","description":"Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. From 2.95.0 until 2.132.0, the HTML image resource loader in docling/backend/utils/image_resource_loader.py forwards headers configured through the HTMLBackendOptions.headers setting to every remote image URL named by an untrusted document when enable_remote_fetch=True and fetch_images=True. The loader does not restrict those credentials to the source document's origin, allowing requests that carry custom headers such as API keys and cookies to follow cross-origin redirects and expose the caller's configured credentials to a document author. The default configuration is not affected because remote fetching and configured headers are required. This issue is fixed in 2.132.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-201","CWE-522"],"references":["https://github.com/docling-project/docling/commit/5e469137f275ffc443306a30d12a3a45bceb80fb","https://github.com/docling-project/docling/pull/4420","https://github.com/docling-project/docling/releases/tag/v2.132.0","https://github.com/docling-project/docling/security/advisories/GHSA-p3fw-7699-7926","https://github.com/docling-project/docling/security/advisories/GHSA-p3fw-7699-7926"],"products":["docling:docling"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:57:46.668721662+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-105742","score":0.00254,"percentile":0.16858,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-p3fw-7699-7926","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-p3fw-7699-7926","summary":"Docling: Configured HTTP headers sent to every remote image host named by a document","modified":"2026-10-15T14:55:49.109478505Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"docling","purl":"pkg:pypi/docling","ranges":[">=2.95.0 <2.132.0"],"fixed":["2.132.0"]},{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"docling-slim","purl":"pkg:pypi/docling-slim","ranges":[">=2.95.0 <2.132.0"],"fixed":["2.132.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4189","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4189","summary":"","modified":"2026-10-15T14:55:49.109478505Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"docling","purl":"pkg:pypi/docling","ranges":[">=2.95.0 <2.132.0"],"fixed":["2.132.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4212","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4212","summary":"Docling: Configured HTTP headers sent to every remote image host named by a document","modified":"2026-10-15T14:55:49.109478505Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"docling-slim","purl":"pkg:pypi/docling-slim","ranges":[">=2.95.0 <2.132.0"],"fixed":["2.132.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
