From version 6.34.0 until 6.67.0, embed cards in the Ghost editor could bypass protections against stored cross-site scripting. Any staff user, including Contributors, could store scripts in post content that ran when another staff user opened the post in the editor, potentially compromising that user’s admin session. Self-hosted sites should leave the new  security.embedPreviewUrl  configuration option at its default value. This issue is fixed in version 6.67.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.3},"cwes":["CWE-79","CWE-653"],"references":["https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/security/advisories/GHSA-69qc-f5m6-889c","https://github.com/penpot/penpot/security/advisories/GHSA-qvq5-c536-pmx8"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:57:46.668721662+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-105643","score":0.00277,"percentile":0.19936,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-69qc-f5m6-889c","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-69qc-f5m6-889c","summary":"Ghost: Stored XSS via Embed Card Previews","modified":"2026-10-13T08:25:39.827296291Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"ghost","purl":"pkg:npm/ghost","ranges":[">=6.34.0 <6.67.0"],"fixed":["6.67.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
