This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. This requires the attacker to upload a crafted ZIP archive containing a media_metadata.json file with path traversal sequences in the file_path field while specifying an allowed file extension for the destination filename to bypass the extension guard introduced in version 1.13.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":4.9},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/post-export-import-with-media/trunk/","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/post-export-import-with-media/tags/1.17.1/includes/class-media-handler.php#L500","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/post-export-import-with-media/tags/1.17.1/includes/class-media-handler.php#L573","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/post-export-import-with-media/tags/1.17.1/includes/class-media-handler.php#L575","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/post-export-import-with-media/tags/1.17.1/includes/class-media-handler.php#L982"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:01.639778232+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-104763","score":0.00732,"percentile":0.54027,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
