This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes. A Subscriber-level user need only save the shortcode payload to their own Biographical Info field via the REST API or wp-admin profile page; the shortcode then executes on any unauthenticated front-end request that resolves that author's description, such as requests using the ?author= query parameter when auto_redirection is disabled.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/elightup/slim-seo/pull/296","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/slim-seo/tags/4.11.0/src/MetaTags/Data.php#L76","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/slim-seo/tags/4.11.0/src/MetaTags/Helper.php#L168","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/slim-seo/tags/4.11.0/src/MetaTags/Helper.php#L26","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&new=3742833%40slim-seo%2Ftags%2F4.11.2&old=3717070%40slim-seo%2Ftags%2F4.11.0"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T23:00:53.604569364+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-104001","score":0.00227,"percentile":0.1328,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
