A fixed AES-128 key and\ninitialization vector are embedded in the firmware configuration-management\ncomponent. An attacker who obtains an affected configuration backup file may\nextract the cryptographic material from the firmware and use it to decrypt the\nbackup. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuccessful\nexploitation may disclose sensitive configuration information contained in a\nbackup file, including administrator passwords and Wi-Fi credentials.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-321"],"references":["https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-c7/v5/#Firmware","https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/re305/v3/#Firmware","https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-c7/v5/#Firmware","https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/re305/v3/#Firmware","https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/5362/"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-27T18:39:43.087796372+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
