{"cve":"CVE-2026-102269","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-28T21:17:14.773","modified":"2026-10-06T18:54:08.460","status":"Analyzed","description":"PyJWT is a Python implementation of JSON Web Token standards. Prior to 2.14.0, PyJWT signature segment is affected because signature segment decoding accepts characters outside the canonical Base64URL representation. This occurs when non-Base64URL characters are appended to a valid compact JWS signature segment. As a result, base64url_decode produces the same signature bytes for different serialized segments. Consequently, raw-token revocation checks can fail to recognize an equivalent modified token. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-180"],"references":["https://github.com/jpadilla/pyjwt/commit/e6f48401001609a8f99e71fcaf355fb895d508a8","https://github.com/jpadilla/pyjwt/releases/tag/2.14.0","https://github.com/jpadilla/pyjwt/security/advisories/GHSA-hxm8-2xgr-2p9m"],"products":["pyjwt_project:pyjwt"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:48.555445741+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-102269","score":0.00224,"percentile":0.12848,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hxm8-2xgr-2p9m","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hxm8-2xgr-2p9m","summary":"PyJWT: Non-canonical signature segments enable raw-token revocation bypass","modified":"2026-10-01T17:55:59.204638768Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyjwt","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyjwt","ranges":["<2.14.0"],"fixed":["2.14.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4147","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4147","summary":"PyJWT: Non-canonical signature segments enable raw-token revocation bypass","modified":"2026-10-01T17:45:17.859342382Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyjwt","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyjwt","ranges":["<2.14.0"],"fixed":["2.14.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
