{"cve":"CVE-2026-102267","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-28T21:17:14.430","modified":"2026-10-07T20:27:45.713","status":"Analyzed","description":"PyJWT is a Python implementation of JSON Web Token standards. Prior to 2.14.0, PyJWT PyJWKClient is affected because redirect destinations are not revalidated against the JWKS trust boundary. This occurs when a configured trusted JWKS endpoint returns an attacker-influenced redirect. As a result, PyJWKClient follows the redirect and consumes the redirected response as key material. Consequently, forwarded credentials may be disclosed or verification keys may be substituted. This issue is fixed in version 2.14.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-200","CWE-345","CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/jpadilla/pyjwt/commit/0a795b8e1f6ef08f634aa7086fc41cc6d5ce3e56","https://github.com/jpadilla/pyjwt/releases/tag/2.14.0","https://github.com/jpadilla/pyjwt/security/advisories/GHSA-9v7f-9g4p-ffgj"],"products":["pyjwt_project:pyjwt"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:48.555445741+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-102267","score":0.00159,"percentile":0.04989,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-9v7f-9g4p-ffgj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-9v7f-9g4p-ffgj","summary":"PyJWT: PyJWKClient follows redirects when fetching JWKS","modified":"2026-10-01T17:56:19.395032954Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyjwt","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyjwt","ranges":["<2.14.0"],"fixed":["2.14.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-4144","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-4144","summary":"PyJWT: PyJWKClient follows redirects when fetching JWKS","modified":"2026-10-01T17:45:15.993924492Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyjwt","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyjwt","ranges":["<2.14.0"],"fixed":["2.14.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
