{"cve":"CVE-2026-101910","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-28T18:17:20.710","modified":"2026-09-30T19:57:08.043","status":"Deferred","description":"ip-address is a library for parsing and manipulating IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in JavaScript. From 10.2.0 until 10.5.1, the Address6 isPrivate classifier in src/ipv6.ts does not recognize the NAT64 local-use range 64:ff9b:1::/48. Applications that combine isPrivate, isLoopback, and isLinkLocal for a trust-boundary decision can treat an internal IPv4 destination encoded through that range as external. Exploitation depends on a server network using an operator-selected NAT64 prefix within the local-use range. A successful bypass can cross the intended network trust boundary. This issue is fixed in version 10.5.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/beaugunderson/ip-address/commit/ab3dc88bcf5374344168a2ba075ca7ac4ff257f8","https://github.com/beaugunderson/ip-address/releases/tag/v10.5.1","https://github.com/beaugunderson/ip-address/security/advisories/GHSA-2vr4-cq9g-pvrc","https://github.com/beaugunderson/ip-address/security/advisories/GHSA-2vr4-cq9g-pvrc"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:48.555445741+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-101910","score":0.00386,"percentile":0.3238,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2vr4-cq9g-pvrc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2vr4-cq9g-pvrc","summary":"ip-address: no classifier recognizes the NAT64 local-use range 64:ff9b:1::/48, allowing SSRF and trust-boundary bypass","modified":"2026-09-28T21:00:05.355682124Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"ip-address","purl":"pkg:npm/ip-address","ranges":[">=10.2.0 <10.5.1"],"fixed":["10.5.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
