{"cve":"CVE-2026-101898","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-28T18:17:17.860","modified":"2026-09-30T19:38:27.293","status":"Undergoing Analysis","description":"Axios is a promise-based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.13.0 until 1.20.0, Axios HTTP/2 request setup does not consistently apply proxy settings and caller-supplied DNS lookup policy. An HTTPS request uses httpVersion: 2 with explicit config.proxy or environment-derived proxy settings, or relies on caller-supplied config.lookup DNS policy. The HTTP/2 path can connect without the configured proxy behavior or without applying the caller-supplied config.lookup policy before http2.connect(). Requests can bypass the intended proxy route or the caller-supplied DNS resolution policy. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:H/SA:N","score":7.0},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/axios/axios/commit/d19040bda7a8be2f82c3c6e1a5bc03917daee39a","https://github.com/axios/axios/pull/11141","https://github.com/axios/axios/releases/tag/v1.20.0","https://github.com/axios/axios/security/advisories/GHSA-3pq3-5fj3-cg6v","https://github.com/axios/axios/security/advisories/GHSA-3pq3-5fj3-cg6v"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:48.555445741+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-101898","score":0.00545,"percentile":0.45477,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3pq3-5fj3-cg6v","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3pq3-5fj3-cg6v","summary":"Axios: HTTP/2 adapter bypasses configured DNS lookup and proxy controls","modified":"2026-09-30T15:15:04.067807024Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"axios","purl":"pkg:npm/axios","ranges":[">=1.13.0 <1.20.0"],"fixed":["1.20.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
