{"cve":"CVE-2026-0918","nvd":{"published":"2026-01-27T18:15:54.973","modified":"2026-06-17T10:11:37.770","status":"Modified","description":"The Tapo C100 v5, C220 v1 and C520WS v2 cameras’ HTTP service does not safely handle POST requests containing an excessively large Content-Length header. The resulting failed memory allocation triggers a NULL pointer dereference, causing the main service process to crash. An unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly crash the service, causing temporary denial of service. The device restarts automatically, and repeated requests can keep it unavailable.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://www.crac-learning.com/post/smart-home-security-research-cve-2026-0918-assigned","https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tapo-c220/v1/","https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tapo-c520ws/v2/","https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/tapo-c100/v5/","https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/tapo-c220/v1.60/"],"products":["tp-link:tapo_c220_firmware","tp-link:tapo_c520ws_firmware"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-0918","score":0.00722,"percentile":0.54001,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
