This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload and delete files outside of the originally intended directory. The impact of this vulnerability is limited, as file types are validated and only safe ones can be uploaded, while deletion is limited to the plugin's uploads folder.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-23"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/drag-and-drop-multiple-file-upload-contact-form-7/tags/1.3.9.0/inc/dnd-upload-cf7.php#L1018","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/drag-and-drop-multiple-file-upload-contact-form-7/tags/1.3.9.0/inc/dnd-upload-cf7.php#L1050","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/drag-and-drop-multiple-file-upload-contact-form-7/tags/1.3.9.0/inc/dnd-upload-cf7.php#L77","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3344512%40drag-and-drop-multiple-file-upload-contact-form-7&new=3344512%40drag-and-drop-multiple-file-upload-contact-form-7&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/17f7be7f-f675-4c9f-a7b3-525a3c3c5775?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:06:45.861874017+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-8464","score":0.00739,"percentile":0.54576,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
