Versions 10.0.0 through 10.25 allow git-hosted dependencies to execute arbitrary code during pnpm install, circumventing the v10 security feature \"Dependency lifecycle scripts execution disabled by default\". While pnpm v10 blocks postinstall scripts via the onlyBuiltDependencies mechanism, git dependencies can still execute prepare, prepublish, and prepack scripts during the fetch phase, enabling remote code execution without user consent or approval. This issue is fixed in version 10.26.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-693"],"references":["https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/commit/73cc63504d9bc360c43e4b2feb9080677f03c5b5","https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/security/advisories/GHSA-379q-355j-w6rj","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2025-69264","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2427709","https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2025/cve-2025-69264.json"],"products":["pnpm:pnpm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:19:41.481987139+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-69264","score":0.01013,"percentile":0.62975,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-379q-355j-w6rj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-379q-355j-w6rj","summary":"pnpm v10+ Bypass \"Dependency lifecycle scripts execution disabled by default\"","modified":"2026-02-03T03:16:14.295703Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"pnpm","purl":"pkg:npm/pnpm","ranges":[">=10.0.0 <10.26.0"],"fixed":["10.26.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
