Versions 10.26.2 and below store HTTP tarball dependencies (and git-hosted tarballs) in the lockfile without integrity hashes. This allows the remote server to serve different content on each install, even when a lockfile is committed. An attacker who publishes a package with an HTTP tarball dependency can serve different code to different users or CI/CD environments. The attack requires the victim to install a package that has an HTTP/git tarball in its dependency tree. The victim's lockfile provides no protection. This issue is fixed in version 10.26.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-494"],"references":["https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/commit/0958027f88a99ccefe7e9676cdebba393dfbdc85","https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/security/advisories/GHSA-7vhp-vf5g-r2fw","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2025-69263","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2427703","https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2025/cve-2025-69263.json"],"products":["pnpm:pnpm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:19:41.481987139+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-69263","score":0.00475,"percentile":0.40768,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-7vhp-vf5g-r2fw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-7vhp-vf5g-r2fw","summary":"pnpm Has Lockfile Integrity Bypass that Allows Remote Dynamic Dependencies","modified":"2026-02-03T03:16:20.731152Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"pnpm","purl":"pkg:npm/pnpm","ranges":["<10.26.0"],"fixed":["10.26.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
