Upon failure\nduring driver probe, the error code 1 is propagated back to the driver\nprobe function which must return a negative value to indicate an error,\nbut 1 is not negative, so the probe is considered to be successful even\nthough it failed. Subsequently, removing the driver results in an oops\nbecause it is not in a valid state.\n\nThis happens because none of the callers of ufshcd_init() expect a\nnon-negative error code.\n\nFix the return value and documentation to match actual usage.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a2b32bc1d9e359a9f90d0de6af16699facb10935","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/df96dbe1af7f6591c09f862f1226d3619b07e1b6"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:17:07.138532058+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-68316","score":0.00172,"percentile":0.06553,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
