An attacker can use a malicious USB descriptor\nto force the allocation of a very small buffer.\n\nSubsequently, if the device sends an interrupt packet with a specific\npattern (e.g., where the first byte is 0x80 or 0x42),\nthe pegasus_parse_packet() function parses the packet without checking\nthe allocated buffer size. This leads to an out-of-bounds memory access.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/015b719962696b793997e8deefac019f816aca77","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/084264e10e2ae8938a54355123ad977eb9df56d6","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/36bc92b838ff72f62f2c17751a9013b29ead2513","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/69aeb507312306f73495598a055293fa749d454e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/763c3f4d2394a697d14af1335d3bb42f05c9409f"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:17:07.138532058+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-68217","score":0.00219,"percentile":0.12306,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
