{"cve":"CVE-2025-68150","nvd":{"published":"2025-12-16T19:16:00.107","modified":"2026-06-17T09:58:38.387","status":"Analyzed","description":"Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.2 and 9.1.1-alpha.1, the Instagram authentication adapter allows clients to specify a custom API URL via the `apiURL` parameter in `authData`. This enables SSRF attacks and possibly authentication bypass if malicious endpoints return fake responses to validate unauthorized users. This is fixed in versions 8.6.2 and 9.1.1-alpha.1 by hardcoding the Instagram Graph API URL `https://graph.instagram.com` and ignoring client-provided `apiURL` values. No known workarounds are available.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9988","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9989","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-3f5f-xgrj-97pf"],"products":["parseplatform:parse-server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:17:07.138532058+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-68150","score":0.00326,"percentile":0.25767,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3f5f-xgrj-97pf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3f5f-xgrj-97pf","summary":"Parse Server is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via Instagram OAuth Adapter","modified":"2026-02-03T03:16:25.119866Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":[">=9.0.0 <9.1.1-alpha.1"],"fixed":["9.1.1-alpha.1"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":["<8.6.2"],"fixed":["8.6.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
