In libocpp prior to version 0.30.1, pointers returned by the `strdup` calls are never freed. At each connection attempt, the newly allocated memory area will be leaked, potentially causing memory exhaustion and denial of service. Version 0.30.1 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:L","score":4.7},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/EVerest/everest-core/security/advisories/GHSA-f8c2-44c3-7v55","https://github.com/EVerest/libocpp/blob/89c7b62ec899db637f43b54f19af2c4af30cfa66/lib/ocpp/common/websocket/websocket_libwebsockets.cpp"],"products":["linuxfoundation:libocpp"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-68138","score":0.00183,"percentile":0.07868,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
