{"cve":"CVE-2025-68132","nvd":{"published":"2026-01-21T19:16:04.343","modified":"2026-06-17T09:58:34.403","status":"Analyzed","description":"EVerest is an EV charging software stack. Prior to version 2025.12.0, `is_message_crc_correct` in the DZG_GSH01 powermeter SLIP parser reads `vec[vec.size()-1]` and `vec[vec.size()-2]` without checking that at least two bytes are present. Malformed SLIP frames on the serial link can reach `is_message_crc_correct` with `vec.size() < 2` (only via the multi-message path), causing an out-of-bounds read before CRC verification and `pop_back` underflow. Therefore, an attacker controlling the serial input can reliably crash the process. Version 2025.12.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:P/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":2.4},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":4.6},"cwes":["CWE-125"],"references":["https://github.com/EVerest/everest-core/commit/b8139b95144e3fe0082789b7fafe4e532ee494a1","https://github.com/EVerest/everest-core/security/advisories/GHSA-79gc-m8w6-9hx5"],"products":["linuxfoundation:everest"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-68132","score":0.00289,"percentile":0.21449,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
