This API allowed Dag author to perform Remote Code Execution in the webserver context, which Dag Author was not supposed to be able to do.\n\nIf you installed and configured Edge3 provider for Airflow 2, you should uninstall it and migrate to Airflow 3. The new Edge3 provider versions (>=2.0.0) has minimum version of Airflow set to 3 and the RCE-prone Airflow 2 code is removed, so it should no longer be possible to use the Edge3 provider 2.0.0+ on Airflow 2.\n\nIf you used Edge Provider in Airflow 3, you are not affected.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-669"],"references":["https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/59143","https://lists.apache.org/thread/hhnmmzkj5qx5gbk6pdkh8tcsx5oj1nqs","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2025/12/16/3"],"products":["apache:apache-airflow-providers-edge3"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:17:07.138532058+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-67895","score":0.01168,"percentile":0.67388,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-66h8-3g48-6hx8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-66h8-3g48-6hx8","summary":"Apache Airflow Providers Edge3 exposes internal API allowing RCE in web server context","modified":"2026-10-26T21:30:05.346792052Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"apache-airflow-providers-edge3","purl":"pkg:pypi/apache-airflow-providers-edge3","ranges":["<2.0.0"],"fixed":["2.0.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2025-87","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2025-87","summary":"","modified":"2026-06-29T12:26:17.096888224Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"apache-airflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/apache-airflow","ranges":["<2.0.0"],"fixed":["2.0.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-276","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-276","summary":"Apache Airflow Providers Edge3 exposes internal API allowing RCE in web server context","modified":"2026-07-01T20:22:48.479574Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"apache-airflow-providers-edge3","purl":"pkg:pypi/apache-airflow-providers-edge3","ranges":["<2.0.0"],"fixed":["2.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
