{"cve":"CVE-2025-67735","nvd":{"published":"2025-12-16T01:15:52.367","modified":"2026-10-14T13:10:00.187","status":"Analyzed","description":"Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. In versions prior to 4.1.129.Final and 4.2.8.Final, the `io.netty.handler.codec.http.HttpRequestEncoder` has a CRLF injection with the request URI when constructing a request. This leads to request smuggling when `HttpRequestEncoder` is used without proper sanitization of the URI. Any application / framework using `HttpRequestEncoder` can be subject to be abused to perform request smuggling using CRLF injection. Versions 4.1.129.Final and 4.2.8.Final fix the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-93"],"references":["https://github.com/netty/netty/security/advisories/GHSA-84h7-rjj3-6jx4"],"products":["netty:netty"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:17:07.138532058+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-67735","score":0.0032,"percentile":0.248,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-84h7-rjj3-6jx4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-84h7-rjj3-6jx4","summary":"Netty has a CRLF Injection vulnerability in io.netty.handler.codec.http.HttpRequestEncoder","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:31.724062875Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.netty:netty-codec-http","purl":"pkg:maven/io.netty/netty-codec-http","ranges":[">=4.2.0.Alpha1 <4.2.8.Final"],"fixed":["4.2.8.Final"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.netty:netty-codec-http","purl":"pkg:maven/io.netty/netty-codec-http","ranges":["<4.1.129.Final"],"fixed":["4.1.129.Final"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
