{"cve":"CVE-2025-66627","nvd":{"published":"2025-12-09T16:18:21.910","modified":"2026-10-14T21:10:00.183","status":"Analyzed","description":"Wasmi is a WebAssembly interpreter focused on constrained and embedded systems. In versions 0.41.0, 0.41.1, 0.42.0 through 0.47.1, 0.50.0 through 0.51.2 and 1.0.0, Wasmi's linear memory implementation leads to a Use After Free vulnerability, triggered by a WebAssembly module under certain memory growth conditions. This issue potentially leads to memory corruption, information disclosure, or code execution. This issue is fixed in versions 0.41.2, 0.47.1, 0.51.3 and 1.0.1. To workaround this issue, consider limiting the maximum linear memory sizes where feasible.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://github.com/wasmi-labs/wasmi/security/advisories/GHSA-g4v2-cjqp-rfmq"],"products":["wasmi-labs:wasmi"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:40.427100871+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-66627","score":0.00146,"percentile":0.03799,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g4v2-cjqp-rfmq","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g4v2-cjqp-rfmq","summary":"Critical Use-After-Free in Wasmi's Linear Memory","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:31.952950700Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"wasmi","purl":"pkg:cargo/wasmi","ranges":[">=0.41.0 <0.41.2"],"fixed":["0.41.2"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"wasmi","purl":"pkg:cargo/wasmi","ranges":[">=0.42.0 <0.47.1"],"fixed":["0.47.1"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"wasmi","purl":"pkg:cargo/wasmi","ranges":[">=0.50.0 <0.51.3"],"fixed":["0.51.3"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"wasmi","purl":"pkg:cargo/wasmi","ranges":[">=1.0.0 <1.0.1"],"fixed":["1.0.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
