Prior to 1.14.0, the gateway determined the destination baseURL by prioritizing the value in the x-portkey-custom-host request header. The proxy route then appends the client-specified path to perform an external fetch. This can be maliciously used by users for SSRF attacks. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.14.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/Portkey-AI/gateway/commit/b5a7825ba5f4e6918deb32d9969899ce2229a885","https://github.com/Portkey-AI/gateway/pull/1372","https://github.com/Portkey-AI/gateway/security/advisories/GHSA-hhh5-2cvx-vmfp"],"products":["portkey:gateway"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:02.354564667+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-66405","score":0.0037,"percentile":0.30667,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hhh5-2cvx-vmfp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hhh5-2cvx-vmfp","summary":"Portkey.ai Gateway: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Custom Host","modified":"2025-12-02T01:53:14.002296Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@portkey-ai/gateway","purl":"pkg:npm/%40portkey-ai/gateway","ranges":["<1.14.0"],"fixed":["1.14.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
