Prior to version 8.0.5567, OneUptime is vulnerable to privilege escalation via Login Response Manipulation. During the login process, the server response included a parameter called isMasterAdmin. By intercepting and modifying this parameter value from false to true, it is possible to gain access to the admin dashboard interface. However, an attacker may be unable to view or interact with the data if they still do not have sufficient permissions. This issue has been patched in version 8.0.5567.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/OneUptime/oneuptime/commit/3e72b2a9a4f50f98cf1f6cf13fa3e405715bb370","https://github.com/OneUptime/oneuptime/security/advisories/GHSA-675q-66gf-gqg8"],"products":["hackerbay:oneuptime"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:02.354564667+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-66028","score":0.00302,"percentile":0.22704,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-675q-66gf-gqg8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-675q-66gf-gqg8","summary":"OneUptime is Vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Login Response Manipulation ","modified":"2025-11-27T09:16:06.594043Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@oneuptime/common","purl":"pkg:npm/%40oneuptime/common","ranges":["<8.0.5567"],"fixed":["8.0.5567"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
