{"cve":"CVE-2025-64746","nvd":{"published":"2025-11-13T21:15:54.407","modified":"2026-10-19T13:10:00.110","status":"Analyzed","description":"Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to version 11.13.0, Directus does not properly clean up field-level permissions when a field is deleted. When a field is removed from a collection, its reference in the permissions table remains intact. This stale reference creates a security gap: if another field is later created using the same name, it inherits the outdated permission entry. This behavior can unintentionally grant roles access to data they should not be able to read or modify. The issue is particularly risky in multi-tenant or production environments, where administrators may reuse field names, assuming old permissions have been fully cleared. Version 11.13.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-863","CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/84d7636969083387164ce5d2fd15a65e11e2d0b8","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-9x5g-62gj-wqf2"],"products":["monospace:directus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:02.354564667+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-64746","score":0.00205,"percentile":0.10329,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-9x5g-62gj-wqf2","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-9x5g-62gj-wqf2","summary":"Directus has Improper Permission Handling on Deleted Fields","modified":"2025-11-14T21:45:15Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"directus","purl":"pkg:npm/directus","ranges":["<11.13.0"],"fixed":["11.13.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
