Versions 1.61.12-rc.0 and below and 2.8.1-rc.0 allow unauthorized access to protected data through schema elements with access control directives (@authenticated, @requiresScopes, and @policy) that were renamed via @link imports. Router did not enforce renamed access control directives on schema elements (e.g. fields and types), allowing queries to bypass those element-level access controls. This issue is fixed in versions 1.61.12 and 2.8.1.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/apollographql/router/commit/78e4b20a2fc26cc5f141aa47992ed85375266a2b","https://github.com/apollographql/router/security/advisories/GHSA-g8jh-vg5j-4h3f"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:14:53.307938015+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-64347","score":0.00326,"percentile":0.25731,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-g8jh-vg5j-4h3f","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-g8jh-vg5j-4h3f","summary":"Apollo Router Improperly Enforces Renamed Access Control Directives","modified":"2025-11-07T20:31:54Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"apollo-router","purl":"pkg:cargo/apollo-router","ranges":["<1.61.12"],"fixed":["1.61.12"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"apollo-router","purl":"pkg:cargo/apollo-router","ranges":[">=2.0.0-alpha.0 <2.8.1"],"fixed":["2.8.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
