{"cve":"CVE-2025-64175","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-06T18:15:55.357","modified":"2026-06-17T09:53:57.503","status":"Analyzed","description":"Gogs is an open source self-hosted Git service. In version 0.13.3 and prior, Gogs’ 2FA recovery code validation does not scope codes by user, enabling cross-account bypass. If an attacker knows a victim’s username and password, they can use any unused recovery code (e.g., from their own account) to bypass the victim’s 2FA. This enables full account takeover and renders 2FA ineffective in all environments where it's enabled.. This issue has been patched in versions 0.13.4 and 0.14.0+dev.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://github.com/gogs/gogs/security/advisories/GHSA-p6x6-9mx6-26wj","https://github.com/gogs/gogs/security/advisories/GHSA-p6x6-9mx6-26wj"],"products":["gogs:gogs"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-64175","score":0.00477,"percentile":0.41232,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-p6x6-9mx6-26wj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-p6x6-9mx6-26wj","summary":"Gogs Vulnerable to 2FA Bypass via Recovery Code","modified":"2026-02-19T20:41:09.212728Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"gogs.io/gogs","purl":"pkg:golang/gogs.io/gogs","ranges":[">=0.11.19 <0.13.4"],"fixed":["0.13.4"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4449","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4449","summary":"Gogs Vulnerable to 2FA Bypass via Recovery Code in gogs.io/gogs","modified":"2026-02-19T20:41:09.212728Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"gogs.io/gogs","purl":"pkg:golang/gogs.io/gogs","ranges":[">=0.11.19"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
