{"cve":"CVE-2025-64099","nvd":{"published":"2025-11-12T19:15:38.087","modified":"2026-10-18T20:10:00.110","status":"Deferred","description":"Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. In versions prior to 16.0.0, if the \"claims_parameter_supported\" parameter is activated, it is possible, thanks to the \"oidc-claims-extension.groovy\" script, to inject the value of one's choice into a claim contained in the id_token or in the user_info. In the request of an authorize function, a claims parameter containing a JSON file can be injected. This JSON file allows attackers to customize the claims returned by the \"id_token\" and \"user_info\" files. This allows for a very wide range of vulnerabilities depending on how clients use claims. For example, if some clients rely on an email field to identify a user, an attacker can choose the email address they want, and therefore assume any identity they choose. Version 16.0.0 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U","score":8.1},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-74"],"references":["https://github.com/OpenIdentityPlatform/OpenAM/security/advisories/GHSA-39hr-239p-fhqc"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:02.354564667+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-64099","score":0.00353,"percentile":0.28667,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-39hr-239p-fhqc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-39hr-239p-fhqc","summary":"OpenAM: Using arbitrary OIDC requested claims values in id_token and user_info is allowed ","modified":"2025-11-15T03:34:07.748195Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.openidentityplatform.openam:openam-oauth2","purl":"pkg:maven/org.openidentityplatform.openam/openam-oauth2","ranges":["<16.0.3"],"fixed":["16.0.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
