{"cve":"CVE-2025-62601","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-03T20:15:56.493","modified":"2026-06-17T09:52:08.620","status":"Analyzed","description":"Fast DDS is a C++ implementation of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard of the OMG (Object Management Group\n). Prior to versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11, when the security mode is enabled, modifying the DATA Submessage within an \nSPDP packet sent by a publisher causes a heap buffer overflow, resulting in remote termination of Fast-DDS. If the fields \nof `PID_IDENTITY_TOKEN` or `PID_PERMISSIONS_TOKEN` in the DATA Submessage — specifically by tampering with the `str_size` \nvalue read by `readString` (called from `readBinaryProperty`) — are modified, a 32-bit integer overflow can occur, causing\n `std::vector::resize` to use an attacker-controlled size and quickly trigger heap buffer overflow and remote process term\nination. Versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11 patch the issue.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U","score":1.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-787","CWE-122"],"references":["https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/354218514d32beac963ff5c306f1cf159ee37c5f","https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/a726e6a5daba660418d1f7c05b6f203c17747d2b","https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/ced3b6f92d928af1eae77d5fe889878128ad421a","https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2025-62601"],"products":["eprosima:fast_dds"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-62601","score":0.00585,"percentile":0.47959,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
