{"cve":"CVE-2025-62162","nvd":{"published":"2025-10-10T23:15:36.713","modified":"2026-10-19T16:10:00.260","status":"Deferred","description":"cel-rust is a Common Expression Language interpreter written in Rust. Starting in version 0.10.0 and prior to version 0.11.4, parsing certain malformed CEL expressions can cause the parser to panic, terminating the process. When the crate is used to evaluate untrusted expressions (e.g., user-supplied input over an API), an attacker can send crafted input to trigger a denial of service (DoS). Version 0.11.4 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-20"],"references":["https://github.com/cel-rust/cel-rust/releases/tag/cel-v0.11.4","https://github.com/cel-rust/cel-rust/security/advisories/GHSA-wxwx-9fh7-5mrw","https://github.com/cel-rust/cel-rust/security/advisories/GHSA-wxwx-9fh7-5mrw"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:11:26.888974865+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-62162","score":0.00429,"percentile":0.36858,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-wxwx-9fh7-5mrw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-wxwx-9fh7-5mrw","summary":"cel-rust May Panic During Parsing of Invalid CEL Expressions","modified":"2025-10-11T01:57:29.962335Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"cel","purl":"pkg:cargo/cel","ranges":[">=0.10.0 <0.11.4"],"fixed":["0.11.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
