Versions 1.12.4 and below are vulnerable to a DNS rebinding attack due to lack of HTTP Host and Origin header validation. Data from the vet scan sqlite3 database may be exposed to remote attackers when vet is used as an MCP server in SSE mode with default ports through the sqlite3 query MCP tool. This issue is fixed in version 1.12.5.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:N/UI:A/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":2.1},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-350"],"references":["https://github.com/safedep/vet/commit/0ae3560ba11846375812377299fe078d45cc3d48","https://github.com/safedep/vet/releases/tag/v1.12.5","https://github.com/safedep/vet/security/advisories/GHSA-6q9c-m9fr-865m"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:11:26.888974865+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-59163","score":0.00407,"percentile":0.34697,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-6q9c-m9fr-865m","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-6q9c-m9fr-865m","summary":"vet MCP Server SSE Transport DNS Rebinding Vulnerability","modified":"2025-10-23T20:21:11Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/safedep/vet","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/safedep/vet","ranges":["<1.12.5"],"fixed":["1.12.5"]}]},{"id":"GO-2025-3986","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2025-3986","summary":"vet MCP Server SSE Transport DNS Rebinding Vulnerability in github.com/safedep/vet","modified":"2026-03-03T04:56:56.269978Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/safedep/vet","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/safedep/vet","ranges":["<1.12.5"],"fixed":["1.12.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
