{"cve":"CVE-2025-58764","nvd":{"published":"2025-09-10T16:15:40.940","modified":"2026-06-17T09:44:53.880","status":"Analyzed","description":"Claude Code is an agentic coding tool. Due to an error in command parsing, versions prior to 1.0.105 were vulnerable to a bypass of the Claude Code confirmation prompt to trigger execution of an untrusted command. Reliably exploiting this requires the ability to add untrusted content into a Claude Code context window. Users on standard Claude Code auto-update will have received this fix automatically. Users performing manual updates are advised to update to version 1.0.105 or the latest version.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/security/advisories/GHSA-qxfv-fcpc-w36x"],"products":["anthropic:claude_code"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:08:41.295252406+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-58764","score":0.00549,"percentile":0.45982,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-qxfv-fcpc-w36x","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-qxfv-fcpc-w36x","summary":"Claude Code rg vulnerability does not protect against approval prompt bypass","modified":"2025-09-10T21:14:12Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@anthropic-ai/claude-code","purl":"pkg:npm/%40anthropic-ai/claude-code","ranges":["<1.0.105"],"fixed":["1.0.105"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
