{"cve":"CVE-2025-57814","nvd":{"published":"2025-08-25T22:15:33.510","modified":"2026-06-17T09:43:29.200","status":"Deferred","description":"request-filtering-agent is an http(s).Agent implementation that blocks requests to Private/Reserved IP addresses. Versions 1.x.x and earlier contain a vulnerability where HTTPS requests to 127.0.0.1 bypass IP address filtering, while HTTP requests are correctly blocked. This allows attackers to potentially access internal HTTPS services running on localhost, bypassing the library's SSRF protection. The vulnerability is particularly dangerous when the application accepts user-controlled URLs and internal services are only protected by network-level restrictions. This vulnerability has been fixed in request-filtering-agent version 2.0.0. Users should upgrade to version 2.0.0 or later.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N/E:P","score":5.5},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/azu/request-filtering-agent-https127-test","https://github.com/azu/request-filtering-agent/security/advisories/GHSA-pw25-c82r-75mm"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:07:46.309729541+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-57814","score":0.00458,"percentile":0.39724,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pw25-c82r-75mm","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pw25-c82r-75mm","summary":"request-filtering-agent SSRF Bypass via HTTPS Requests to 127.0.0.1","modified":"2025-08-26T17:12:50Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"request-filtering-agent","purl":"pkg:npm/request-filtering-agent","ranges":["<2.0.0"],"fixed":["2.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
