{"cve":"CVE-2025-57350","nvd":{"published":"2025-09-24T18:15:41.463","modified":"2026-06-17T09:43:03.410","status":"Analyzed","description":"The csvtojson package, a tool for converting CSV data to JSON with customizable parsing capabilities, contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in versions prior to 2.0.10. This issue arises due to insufficient sanitization of nested header names during the parsing process in the parser_jsonarray component. When processing CSV input containing specially crafted header fields that reference prototype chains (e.g., using __proto__ syntax), the application may unintentionally modify properties of the base Object prototype. This vulnerability can lead to denial of service conditions or unexpected behavior in applications relying on unmodified prototype chains, particularly when untrusted CSV data is processed. The flaw does not require user interaction beyond providing a maliciously constructed CSV file.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L","score":8.6},"cwes":["CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/Keyang/node-csvtojson/issues/498","https://github.com/VulnSageAgent/PoCs/tree/main/JavaScript/prototype-pollution/CVE-2025-57350"],"products":["keyangxiang:csvtojson"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:10:08.713834912+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-57350","score":0.00313,"percentile":0.2419,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vrw9-g62v-7fmf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vrw9-g62v-7fmf","summary":"CSVTOJSON has a prototype pollution vulnerability","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:28.851024126Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"csvtojson","purl":"pkg:npm/csvtojson","ranges":["<2.0.13"],"fixed":["2.0.13"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
