RISC packages risc0-zkvm versions 2.0.0 through 2.1.0 and risc0-circuit-rv32im and risc0-circuit-rv32im-sys versions 2.0.0 through 2.0.4 contain vulnerabilities where signed integer division allows multiple outputs for certain inputs with only one being valid, and division by zero results are underconstrained. This issue is fixed in risc0-zkvm version 2.2.0 and version 3.0.0 for the risc0-circuit-rv32im and risc0-circuit-rv32im-sys packages.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U","score":2.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-369"],"references":["https://github.com/risc0/risc0/pull/3235","https://github.com/risc0/risc0/security/advisories/GHSA-f6rc-24x4-ppxp","https://github.com/risc0/zirgen/pull/249"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:06:45.861874017+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-54873","score":0.0041,"percentile":0.35269,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-f6rc-24x4-ppxp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-f6rc-24x4-ppxp","summary":"RISC Zero Underconstrained Vulnerability: Division","modified":"2025-08-06T14:32:02Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"risc0-zkvm","purl":"pkg:cargo/risc0-zkvm","ranges":[">=2.0.0 <2.2.0"],"fixed":["2.2.0"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"risc0-circuit-rv32im","purl":"pkg:cargo/risc0-circuit-rv32im","ranges":[">=2.0.0 <3.0.0"],"fixed":["3.0.0"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"risc0-circuit-rv32im-sys","purl":"pkg:cargo/risc0-circuit-rv32im-sys","ranges":[">=2.0.0 <3.0.0"],"fixed":["3.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
