In versions 1.3.1 and below, 2.0.0-0 through 2.1.0, and 3.0.0 through 3.1.0, the approach used to check whether a path is within allowed directories is vulnerable to path prefix bypass when the allowed directories do not end with a path separator. This occurs because the check relies on a raw string prefix comparison. This is fixed in versions 1.3.2, 2.1.1 and 3.1.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:L/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/unjs/ipx/commit/81693ddbfc062cc922e4e2406e8427ab4e3ad214","https://github.com/unjs/ipx/releases/tag/v1.3.2","https://github.com/unjs/ipx/releases/tag/v2.1.1","https://github.com/unjs/ipx/releases/tag/v3.1.1","https://github.com/unjs/ipx/security/advisories/GHSA-mm3p-j368-7jcr"],"products":["unjs:ipx"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:06:45.861874017+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-54387","score":0.00737,"percentile":0.54529,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-mm3p-j368-7jcr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-mm3p-j368-7jcr","summary":"IPX Allows Path Traversal via Prefix Matching Bypass","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:27.266475915Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"ipx","purl":"pkg:npm/ipx","ranges":["<1.3.2"],"fixed":["1.3.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"ipx","purl":"pkg:npm/ipx","ranges":[">=2.0.0-0 <2.1.1"],"fixed":["2.1.1"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"ipx","purl":"pkg:npm/ipx","ranges":[">=3.0.0 <3.1.1"],"fixed":["3.1.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
