Starting in 5.3.0 and before 7.5.3 and 8.2.2, the Parse Server GraphQL API previously allowed public access to the GraphQL schema without requiring a session token or the master key. While schema introspection reveals only metadata and not actual data, this metadata can still expand the potential attack surface. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.5.3 and 8.2.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-497"],"references":["https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9819","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/9820","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-48q3-prgv-gm4w"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:04:28.436527499+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-53364","score":0.00962,"percentile":0.61654,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-48q3-prgv-gm4w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-48q3-prgv-gm4w","summary":"Parse Server exposes the data schema via GraphQL API","modified":"2025-07-16T09:57:20.996064Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":[">=8.0.0 <8.2.2"],"fixed":["8.2.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":[">=5.3.0 <7.5.3"],"fixed":["7.5.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
