{"cve":"CVE-2025-53363","nvd":{"published":"2025-08-22T16:15:44.887","modified":"2026-06-17T09:38:05.710","status":"Deferred","description":"dpanel is an open source server management panel written in Go. In versions 1.2.0 through 1.7.2, dpanel allows authenticated users to read arbitrary files from the server via the /api/app/compose/get-from-uri API endpoint. The vulnerability exists in the GetFromUri function in app/application/http/controller/compose.go, where the uri parameter is passed directly to os.ReadFile without proper validation or access control. A logged-in attacker can exploit this flaw to read sensitive files from the host system, leading to information disclosure. No patched version is available as of this writing.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":4.8},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-73"],"references":["https://github.com/donknap/dpanel/security/advisories/GHSA-gcqf-pxgg-gw8q"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:07:46.309729541+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-53363","score":0.00465,"percentile":0.40287,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-gcqf-pxgg-gw8q","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-gcqf-pxgg-gw8q","summary":"Dpanel has an arbitrary file read vulnerability","modified":"2025-08-29T20:34:31Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/donknap/dpanel","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/donknap/dpanel","ranges":[">=1.2.0 <=1.7.2"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"GO-2025-3909","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2025-3909","summary":"Dpanel has an arbitrary file read vulnerability in github.com/donknap/dpanel","modified":"2026-03-03T04:57:26.492193Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/donknap/dpanel","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/donknap/dpanel","ranges":[">=1.2.0"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
