From version 5.12.0 to 5.13.1, JUnit's support for writing Open Test Reporting XML files can leak Git credentials. The impact depends on the level of the access token exposed through the OpenTestReportGeneratingListener. If these test reports are published or stored anywhere public, then there is the possibility that a rouge attacker can steal the token and perform elevated actions by impersonating the user or app. This issue as been patched in version 5.13.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":5.8},"cwes":["CWE-312"],"references":["https://github.com/junit-team/junit-framework/commit/d4fc834c8c1c0b3168cd030c13551d1d041f51bc","https://github.com/junit-team/junit-framework/security/advisories/GHSA-m43g-m425-p68x"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:04:28.436527499+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-53103","score":0.00114,"percentile":0.01466,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-m43g-m425-p68x","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-m43g-m425-p68x","summary":"junit-platform-reporting can leak Git credentials through its OpenTestReportGeneratingListener ","modified":"2025-07-02T00:00:00.647565Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.junit.platform:junit-platform-reporting","purl":"pkg:maven/org.junit.platform/junit-platform-reporting","ranges":[">=5.12.0 <5.13.2"],"fixed":["5.13.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
