A critical XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability exists in the xunit-xml-plugin used by Allure 2 prior to version 2.34.1. The plugin fails to securely configure the XML parser (`DocumentBuilderFactory`) and allows external entity expansion when processing test result .xml files. This allows attackers to read arbitrary files from the file system and potentially trigger server-side request forgery (SSRF). Version 2.34.1 contains a patch for the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-611"],"references":["https://github.com/allure-framework/allure2/commit/cbcb33719851ff70adce85d38e15d20fc58d4eb7","https://github.com/allure-framework/allure2/security/advisories/GHSA-h7qf-qmf3-85qg"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:03:23.287444849+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-52888","score":0.0037,"percentile":0.30894,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h7qf-qmf3-85qg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h7qf-qmf3-85qg","summary":"Allure Report allows Improper XXE Restriction via DocumentBuilderFactory","modified":"2025-06-25T14:57:14.551226Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.qameta.allure.plugins:xunit-xml-plugin","purl":"pkg:maven/io.qameta.allure.plugins/xunit-xml-plugin","ranges":["<2.34.1"],"fixed":["2.34.1"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.qameta.allure.plugins:junit-xml-plugin","purl":"pkg:maven/io.qameta.allure.plugins/junit-xml-plugin","ranges":["<2.34.1"],"fixed":["2.34.1"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.qameta.allure.plugins:trx-plugin","purl":"pkg:maven/io.qameta.allure.plugins/trx-plugin","ranges":["<2.34.1"],"fixed":["2.34.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
