Prior to version 10.2.1, The connection limiter is implemented incorrectly. It allows an arbitrary amount of simultaneously incoming connections (TCP, UDP and Unix socket) for the services letmeind and letmeinfwd. Therefore, the command line option num-connections is not effective and does not limit the number of simultaneously incoming connections. This issue has been patched in version 10.2.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U","score":1.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-770","CWE-799"],"references":["https://github.com/mbuesch/letmein/commit/43207cd77580410d97165d1e3c07361ba6f3558c","https://github.com/mbuesch/letmein/security/advisories/GHSA-jpv7-p47h-f43j"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:03:23.287444849+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-52570","score":0.00376,"percentile":0.31572,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-jpv7-p47h-f43j","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-jpv7-p47h-f43j","summary":"letmein connection limiter allows an arbitrary amount of simultaneous connections","modified":"2025-06-27T23:08:47Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"letmeind","purl":"pkg:cargo/letmeind","ranges":["<10.2.1"],"fixed":["10.2.1"]},{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"letmeinfwd","purl":"pkg:cargo/letmeinfwd","ranges":["<10.2.1"],"fixed":["10.2.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
