{"cve":"CVE-2025-51619","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-09T19:17:26.563","modified":"2026-10-19T21:10:00.160","status":"Deferred","description":"A vulnerability in the Thesycon DPC Latency Checker driver (dpc.sys) thru 1.4.0 allows local unprivileged users to cause a denial-of-service (BSOD) condition on Windows systems. The driver exposes an IOCTL interface (0x81772008) that accepts user-controlled input without validating pointers before passing them to kernel APIs. Specifically, it dereferences a user-supplied pointer and uses the resulting value in a call to ExSetTimerResolution, leading to an arbitrary kernel memory access. Exploiting this flaw results in a system crash.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-20"],"references":["https://github.com/3a1/Vulns/tree/main/CVE-2025-51619"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-51619","score":0.0014,"percentile":0.03361,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
