{"cve":"CVE-2025-48370","nvd":{"published":"2025-05-27T16:15:32.880","modified":"2026-06-17T09:29:33.677","status":"Deferred","description":"auth-js is an isomorphic Javascript library for Supabase Auth. Prior to version 2.70.0, the library functions getUserById, deleteUser, updateUserById, listFactors and deleteFactor did not require the user supplied values to be valid UUIDs. This could lead to a URL path traversal, resulting in the wrong API function being called. Implementations that follow security best practice and validate user controlled inputs, such as the userId are not affected by this. This issue has been patched in version 2.70.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U","score":2.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-22","CWE-287"],"references":["https://github.com/supabase/auth-js/commit/1bcb76e479e51cd9bca2d7732d0bf3199e07a693","https://github.com/supabase/auth-js/pull/1063","https://github.com/supabase/auth-js/security/advisories/GHSA-8r88-6cj9-9fh5"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:57.636215869+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-48370","score":0.00902,"percentile":0.59746,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-8r88-6cj9-9fh5","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-8r88-6cj9-9fh5","summary":"auth-js Vulnerable to Insecure Path Routing from Malformed User Input","modified":"2026-05-05T18:18:39.323414Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@supabase/auth-js","purl":"pkg:npm/%40supabase/auth-js","ranges":["<2.70.0"],"fixed":["2.70.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
