In versions starting from 13.0 to before 14.2.30 and 15.0.0 to before 15.2.2, Next.js may have allowed limited source code exposure when the dev server was running with the App Router enabled. The vulnerability only affects local development environments and requires the user to visit a malicious webpage while npm run dev is active. This issue has been patched in versions 14.2.30 and 15.2.2.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:P/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:N/SA:N","score":2.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-1385"],"references":["https://github.com/vercel/next.js/security/advisories/GHSA-3h52-269p-cp9r","https://vercel.com/changelog/cve-2025-48068"],"products":["vercel:next.js"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:57.636215869+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-48068","score":0.00203,"percentile":0.1025,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3h52-269p-cp9r","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3h52-269p-cp9r","summary":"Information exposure in Next.js dev server due to lack of origin verification","modified":"2026-09-10T03:49:36.489791181Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=15.0.0 <15.2.2"],"fixed":["15.2.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"next","purl":"pkg:npm/next","ranges":[">=13.0 <14.2.30"],"fixed":["14.2.30"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
