Prior to versions 5.29.0, 6.21.2, and 7.5.0, applications that use undici to implement a webhook-like system are vulnerable. If the attacker set up a server with an invalid certificate, and they can force the application to call the webhook repeatedly, then they can cause a memory leak. This has been patched in versions 5.29.0, 6.21.2, and 7.5.0. As a workaound, avoid calling a webhook repeatedly if the webhook fails.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L","score":3.1},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://github.com/nodejs/undici/commit/f317618ec28753a4218beccea048bcf89c36db25","https://github.com/nodejs/undici/issues/3895","https://github.com/nodejs/undici/pull/4088","https://github.com/nodejs/undici/security/advisories/GHSA-cxrh-j4jr-qwg3"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:57.636215869+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-47279","score":0.00339,"percentile":0.2732,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cxrh-j4jr-qwg3","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cxrh-j4jr-qwg3","summary":"undici Denial of Service attack via bad certificate data","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:24.485053177Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"undici","purl":"pkg:npm/undici","ranges":["<5.29.0"],"fixed":["5.29.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"undici","purl":"pkg:npm/undici","ranges":[">=6.0.0 <6.21.2"],"fixed":["6.21.2"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"undici","purl":"pkg:npm/undici","ranges":[">=7.0.0 <7.5.0"],"fixed":["7.5.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
