Starting in version 0.3.4 and prior to version 1.0.5, running goshs without arguments makes it possible for anyone to execute commands on the server. The function `dispatchReadPump` does not checks the option cli `-c`, thus allowing anyone to execute arbitrary command through the use of websockets. Version 1.0.5 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:L","score":9.4},"cwes":["CWE-77","CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/patrickhener/goshs/commit/160220974576afe5111485b8d12fd36058984cfa","https://github.com/patrickhener/goshs/security/advisories/GHSA-rwj2-w85g-5cmm"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:01:22.920403922+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-46816","score":0.00737,"percentile":0.5452,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-rwj2-w85g-5cmm","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-rwj2-w85g-5cmm","summary":"goshs route not protected, allows command execution","modified":"2025-05-15T20:41:56.148303Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/patrickhener/goshs","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/patrickhener/goshs","ranges":[">=0.3.4 <1.0.5"],"fixed":["1.0.5"]}]},{"id":"GO-2025-3672","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2025-3672","summary":"goshs route not protected, allows command execution in github.com/patrickhener/goshs","modified":"2026-03-03T04:56:34.298515Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/patrickhener/goshs","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/patrickhener/goshs","ranges":[">=0.3.4 <1.0.5"],"fixed":["1.0.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
