A malicious attacker could create a new account, save its JSON Web Token (JWT), and then delete the account, which did not invalidate the JWT. As a result, the next newly created user would receive the same identifier, allowing the attacker to reuse the JWT to authenticate and perform actions as that user.\n\nThis issue has been fixed in version 3.44.0 of Payload.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":5.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-384"],"references":["https://cert.pl/en/posts/2025/08/CVE-2025-4643","https://github.com/payloadcms/payload","https://payloadcms.com"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:07:46.309729541+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2025-4644","score":0.0041,"percentile":0.34945,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-26rv-h2hf-3fw4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-26rv-h2hf-3fw4","summary":"Payload's SQLite adapter Session Fixation vulnerability","modified":"2025-08-29T18:14:35.893684Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"payload","purl":"pkg:npm/payload","ranges":["<3.44.0"],"fixed":["3.44.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@payloadcms/next","purl":"pkg:npm/%40payloadcms/next","ranges":["<3.44.0"],"fixed":["3.44.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@payloadcms/graphql","purl":"pkg:npm/%40payloadcms/graphql","ranges":["<3.44.0"],"fixed":["3.44.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
